Cayos Holandeses

This place of white sands, gorgeous palm trees, and warm, crystal clear water can be found 9 miles from the mainland. It can be reached by boat.

Along with the island’s natural beauty, you will also find the picturesque villages of the Guna people. Their colorful culture and old world traditions have been kept pristine all this time. The thriving art and culture here is truly something to experience. You can also find handmade souvenirs within the village. On Cayos Holandeses, go swimming, snorkeling, or simply relax on the beach. You can even get a massage. Camping is one of the only options for staying as there are no hotels.

These cays lie 10 km northeast of Rio Sidra. Here you can camp and/or explore the Guna culture as well, and you can also find hotels. Like Cayos Holandeses, swimming and snorkeling opportunities aplenty!

On Cayos Los Grullos, you can buy Molas, which are the handmade textiles included in the traditional attire of Guna women.

Cayos Ordupuquip

The group of elite islets at the southeastern tip of the triangle, Cayos Ordupuquip lies forty minutes east of the Holandeses. It is a favorite site for yachters.

It is believed that a Spanish galleon sank around this area, but that the ship and gold vanished in thin air. In fact, there was even a modern-day wreck of a cargo ship that’s lodged upright on a nearby reef, the wreck reef. These haunting stories are appealing to adventure enthusiasts who are always in search of mysterious destinations.
