Directions:
Empty the cup of flour into a bowl and make an opening in the center – similar to a volcano crater.
Inside the opening, add a teaspoon of salt, sugar, baking powder and melted butter, then mix everything with the flour.
After everything is mixed, make an opening in the center of the flour again and add tiny amounts of water until the mixture achieves the right amount of elasticity.
Let the dough sit for at least 30–60 minutes. The longer you let it sit, the more easily you can stretch the dough.
Next, it is ready to fry. Use your hands to slowly stretch the dough until it is about the size of a small dessert plate.
In a frying pan, add a few cups of your favorite brand of oil. When the oil is hot, place the stretched dough and wait for it to turn golden brown on both sides.
Enjoy your rich and crispy Hojaldres!
